Master of Education in Psychology and Intervention Designs

The Master of Education in Psychology and Intervention Designs at Midlands State University is designed to enrich education professionals with deep analytical skills in pedagogical issues in the area of Psychology of Education. Students study areas of Educational Psychology, with a specialist focus on psychological concepts and their application to social settings, including support for the development of a fully functional individual within educational settings and society.

The programme runs for 1½ years, with a minimum credit load of 270 and a maximum credit load of 330. It combines taught modules across Level 1 and Level 2, including Human Development, Human Learning and Performance, Advanced Research Methods and Statistics, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Inclusive and Special Needs Education, Guidance and Counselling for Innovation and Sustainability, Gender Discourse in Education, and a Dissertation. There is also one elective module selected from either Critical Thinking and Education or Sociology of the School.
