Midlands State University offers a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Management (MHRM). The programme builds knowledge of contemporary theoretical foundations and analytical issues in the management of human resources. Students develop a critical appreciation of how to manage, evaluate, and advise on human resource and employment issues through research and academic study. Core modules include Strategic Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Organisational Theory, and Research Methodology and Statistics.
The programme is structured across two levels and follows an integrated design. Students choose elective modules in each semester, such as Ethics and Corporate Governance, Marketing Management, Sociology of Work and Employment, or Managerial Economics, along with other options like Leadership, HR Consultancy, and Management of Change. The second level includes Strategic Human Resource Development and a Dissertation, supported by supervisor guidance.
