Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry

The Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry at Bindura University of Science Education is a two year programme offered through block release and full time options. Students take specialized taught courses in classical methods of analysis, electroanalytical methods, separation sciences (gas and liquid chromatographic techniques, electrophoretic methods), atomic and molecular spectroscopic methods, physical methods of characterization, and statistical methods in analytical chemistry.

The programme also includes research projects through a dissertation. It combines taught courses and a dissertation, with contact hours, assessment time, and independent study time listed for each course. On completion, graduates can work as a lecturer at polytechnic or university level, a laboratory or quality assurance manager, or a research and development chemist in industry and public sector institutions.

• BSc (Honours) Chemistry

• Lecturer at polytechnic or university level
• Laboratory
• Quality assurance manager
• Research and development chemist in industry and public sector institutions
