The Master of Science in Peace, Leadership and Governance at Zimbabwe Open University builds study across peace and conflict, leadership, and governance. Students cover Peace and Conflict: Theory and Practice, Leadership: Theory and Practice, Leadership and Governance, Contemporary Issues in Leadership and Public Policy in Africa, and Conflict and Development. They also study Research Methodology, Applied Conflict Resolution and Management in Africa, Governance, Human Rights and Rule of Law, Gender, Peace and Development, and Post-conflict Recovery and Reconstruction.
The programme requires a minimum of 360 credit points and is structured as Part 1 and Part 2, each with 180 credits. Part 1 includes courses across Semester 1 and Semester 11. Part 2 includes courses across Semester 1 and Semester 2, plus a dissertation.
