Master of Technology in Electronic Commerce

The Master of Technology in Electronic Commerce from Harare Institute of Technology develops advanced skills from undergraduate level across E-Commerce Security, Website Engineering, Intellectual Property, E-Business, E-Business Strategies, Data Science and Big Data Analytics, E-Commerce Legal Governance, E-Marketing, Mobile Technology, and E-Commerce Analysis and Applications. Intended outcomes include developing e-commerce solutions, turnkey e-commerce strategies, and commercialise-able e-commerce solutions, plus knowledge of global e-commerce technologies and trends.

The programme is organised into Semester I through Semester IV, with taught modules in e-marketing, enterprise systems, e-commerce applications development, database management, e-commerce law and ethics, e-commerce systems audit and control, and cloud computing. It also includes laboratory modules in e-commerce applications development frameworks, advanced database management systems, e-commerce security and payment systems, and data science and big data analytics, followed by a major project split into Major Project – Part I and Major Project Part II.
