Diploma Pengajian Islam

Diploma Pengajian Islam is a Diploma program taught at International Islamic College of Penang, Malaysia. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

The Diploma Pengajian Islam at International Islamic College of Penang is designed to deepen students’ understanding of Islamic Studies, including Aqidah, the Qur’an, Hadith, Syariah, Akhlak, Tasawuf, Islamic thought and philosophy, Dakwah, and religious comparisons. It focuses on how scholars analyze and resolve community issues using trusted sources, and on skills for finding facts about Islamic religious issues.

The program lasts 6 semesters (2 years). It combines required study in areas such as ethics and civilization, integrity and anti-bribery, Qur’an studies, and applied multimedia, plus core courses in Basic Applied Multimedia, Fiqh al-Ibadat, Ulum al-Quran, Ulum al-Hadith, Sirah An Nabawiyah, Aqidah Islamiah, and Academic English. It also emphasizes integration with Early Childhood Education through elective courses.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma Pengajian Islam at International Islamic College of Penang for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by International Islamic College of Penang.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by International Islamic College of Penang as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma Pengajian Islam.

Applicants must have either:

• Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with at least TIGA kredit AND passed in ONE course of Bahasa Arab OR one subject of Pendidikan Islam; or
• A recognized certificate in Pengajian Islam or equivalent; or
• Passed SKM Tahap 3 (Tahap 3 MQF) in a related field (PPT is required to conduct screening and suitable strengthening programs for the program field).
