Introduction

Diploma Syariah is a Diploma program taught at International Islamic College of Penang, Malaysia. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

The Diploma Syariah at International Islamic College of Penang enriches students with broad knowledge in Islamic Studies and syariah. The program focuses on how syariah scholars analyse and resolve community issues and on building skills to search for facts related to syariah issues. It emphasizes Fiqh and Usul Fiqh, with integration of syariah knowledge into laws and finance through elective courses. Students are trained to provide service and assistance in Islamic affairs.

Study is organized over 6 semesters. There are required courses, core courses, major courses, and elective courses. Required courses include ethics and civilization, integrity and anti-corruption, foundations in Qur’an studies, and basic applied multimedia, with additional options that include entrepreneurship basics. Core and major courses cover topics such as Fiqh Al Ibadat, Syariah foundations, Aqidah, Ulum Al Quran, and Tafsir Ayat Ahkam, as well as advanced fiqh areas and Usul Al Fiqh.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma Syariah at International Islamic College of Penang for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

program specific academic requirment set by International Islamic College of Penang.
English Language OR any other language requirments as set by International Islamic College of Penang as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma Syariah.

Lulus Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) atau yang setaraf dengan sekurang-kurangnya TIGA kredit DAN lulus dalam SATU pelajaran Bahasa Arab ATAU SATU mata pelajaran Pendidikan Islam ; atau
Sijil yang diiktiraf dalam Pengajian Islam atau yang setaraf dengannya.
