Civil Engineering Major
Introduction
Civil Engineering Major is a Bachelor program taught at Ambassador University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Colorado School of Mines prepares students to design, plan, and deliver resilient infrastructure. Students learn to apply tools and methods for designing, constructing, and maintaining buildings, roads, bridges, water systems, and natural environments. The curriculum includes rigorous structural analysis, geotechnical principles, and fluid mechanics for water resource challenges, plus surveying technology and sustainable construction practices.
Civil engineering students take geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and surveying as a foundation. They then choose at least two emphasis areas: construction engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and water resource and hydrology. Learning includes Cornerstone Design, Field Session, and Capstone Design projects, including a three-week field course in engineering surveying and a two-semester team-based capstone project.
