Introduction

Geological Engineering Major is a Bachelor program taught at Ambassador University, USA. Intake: Fall. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (four-year program) options.

The Geological Engineering Major is a Bachelor of Science degree that combines foundational sciences, mathematics, geological science, and engineering, with specialized upper-level instruction in integrated applications. Engineering design runs throughout the four-year program, starting with Design I in the first year and ending with the Capstone Design courses in the senior year. The curriculum includes classroom and experiential learning focused on areas such as computer modeling, AI, sustainability, logistics, economics, and policy.

Students study rock and soil mechanics, hydrogeology, and remote sensing. The program includes site characterizations for tunnels, dams, and foundations and the use of geophysical tools to map subsurface conditions. After the sophomore year, students choose one of three tracks: Environmental Geosciences, Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, or Mineral and Energy Resources Exploration.
