Bachelor's in Japanese
Introduction
Japanese is a Bachelor program taught at Bennington College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Bennington College’s Japanese courses use the Japanese language as a tool to explore new ideas. Students practice and develop linguistic skills while examining and understanding aspects of Japanese society and culture. Courses focus on an intellectually stimulating question and are designed to engage students in research and practice in Japanese.
Students work closely with faculty to design the content, structure, and sequence of their study and practice through a personal Plan. The course content includes literature, history, music, religion, politics, art, and more. Artists, writers, and scholars in Japanese studies regularly visit campus, and faculty and students collaborate on extracurricular activities, including Field Work Term opportunities. Study abroad is strongly encouraged for students of Japanese, and an exchange program is offered with Kansai Gaikokugo University in Osaka, Japan.
