Bachelor's in Writing
Introduction
Writing is a Bachelor program taught at Bennington College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Bennington College lets students design their own course of study through a Plan. Students identify one or more areas of interest that guide their academic work and fieldwork, with ongoing guidance from faculty. The Writing area of study supports this work as part of a curriculum that goes beyond a traditional major.
The curriculum is built with multiple entry points and highlights connections between courses. About half of all courses are new term-to-term, and intensive pop-up mini-courses are proposed by students or faculty to investigate issues as they unfold. This Plan process stays responsive to new curricular and field experiences, including courses driven by what engages faculty and students.
