The Early Childhood and Childhood Education program at Niagara University (Birth–Grade 6) is an undergraduate B.A. and B.S. designed for people who want to teach younger students across multiple subjects. Students build knowledge and skills through coursework and field experiences, exploring concepts, issues, and problems from multiple perspectives using reflection, collaboration, and analysis of diverse evidence.

The curriculum combines general education, a major academic concentration, professional education, and comprehensive field experiences that culminate in comprehensive and supervised student teaching. Education students begin observational experiences in schools in their first semester at Niagara. Skills such as professional commitment, responsibility, critical thinking, and reflected practice are assessed across courses, field experiences, and student teaching.
