Introduction

Theatre Studies and Fine Arts is a Bachelor program taught at Niagara University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Niagara University offers Theatre Studies and Fine Arts through B.F.A. programs in Theatre & Fine Arts and a BA in Theatre Studies. The BFA options include BFA Performance, BFA Design and Production, and BFA Theatre Specialization, each built around required theatre coursework and practical production experience. Students study areas such as acting, musical theatre, dance/movement, voice, speech, dialects, physical theatre, stage combat, commedia dell arte, directing, and theatre design topics including costumes, lighting, scenery, and sound.

The curriculum includes required practicums completed each semester. Students gain experience through build, run, and design assignments or work in crew positions for multiple departmental productions. On-campus theatre hosts seven student productions each season, including two musicals. For entry into BFA programs, applicants complete an audition or an interview event for their respective programs; the BA in Theatre Studies does not require an audition for acceptance, though students can audition or interview for scholarship eligibility.
