About this program

The Doctoral Programme in Business, Economics and Finance aims to promote excellence in responsible business, digital business and the economy, and policy-relevant economics. It leads to the Doctor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) degree at Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics.

The programme has two specialisations: Business Studies, and Economics and Finance. Doctoral dissertations are supervised in accounting and corporate finance, corporate communication, corporate environmental management, economics and finance, management and leadership, marketing, and strategy and entrepreneurship.

A doctoral degree can be completed in three to four years of full-time study. The programme can also be studied part time. Teaching is in Finnish and English, and it uses distance teaching, contact teaching, and independent learning.
