Accounting, Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration)

The Master’s Programme in Accounting prepares students to produce and use financial and non-financial information to control and manage companies. The programme covers financial accounting and management accounting, and it also includes data analytics, sustainability themes, business law, corporate governance and research methods.

The programme is 120 ECTS credits and takes two years. It is organised by the School of Business and consists of programme studies, including a Master’s Thesis, and elective studies. Students may complete minor studies in an official exchange programme partner of the School of Business. Aalto University says the teaching uses case-based learning, analytical exercises, independent practical tasks, case teaching and group work.

Accounting has two specialisation areas: Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. The degree grants eligibility for doctoral studies.
