Master's Degree Programme in Human Neuroscience, Master of Science

The Master’s Degree Programme in Human Neuroscience covers human brain function, brain structure, and the links between brain and behaviour. Students learn noninvasive neuroimaging, electrophysiological, behavioural and clinical neuroscience methods, and study human cognition, perception and performance.

The programme runs for two academic years and 120 ECTS credits. Teaching includes lectures, group work, independent study and practical exercises. The degree includes Brain imaging methods, Clinical neuroscience, Behavioural methods, Data analysis, elective studies and a Master’s thesis based on research work and analysis of behavioural and/or brain-imaging data.

University of Turku says the programme provides a basis for work as a human neuroscience expert, for PhD study, and for jobs in medical and health companies, health and game industries, and customised marketing research.
