The Electrical Engineer MSc at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, VIK) is an English-taught program that strengthens knowledge in electrical engineering using a systems approach. It covers fundamentals such as mathematics, photonics and communication topics, and measurement theory. Students also study engineering management and take free elective subjects, followed by specialization work and thesis work.
The curriculum includes Advanced Linear Algebra, Combinatorial Optimization, and Stochastics, plus Photonics Devices, Electrical Insulations and Discharges, Communication Theory, and Measurement Theory. The program structure includes internship and thesis work, with internship lasting 4 weeks. Main specializations are Power Systems, Intelligent Networks, and Intelligent Embedded Systems. The program runs for 4 semesters and totals 120 ECTS.
