Master in Artificial Intelligence MSc Program

The Master in Artificial Intelligence MSc programme at Budapest University of Technology and Economics focuses on the mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence and building on machine learning techniques through experimentation, learning, and development. The curriculum includes AI ethics, AI law, and the economic aspects of AI, alongside courses covering knowledge representation and reasoning, agent-based systems, and fundamentals of machine learning.

Students complete 4 semesters with 120 ECTS. The programme includes foundational subjects in “Mathematical and Scientific Foundations” and “Informatics and AI,” followed by “Advanced Courses” in “Specific professional knowledge.” Students also complete an “Internship” of 6 weeks and “Thesis work.” Additional competencies are included as part of the curriculum, and students choose course and project topics such as computer vision, robotics, AI-based software development, or trustworthy AI.
