The Bachelor of Visual Arts (Special History and Theory of Arts) is offered by the University of the Visual and Performing Arts under the Department of History and Theory of Arts. Students study introductions to theories of art, arts history, aesthetic, writing about art and research methodology, museum studies, contemporary theoretical approaches of art, social history of arts, and related topics such as research projects and independent studies.
The course includes 2D & 3D Studio courses across multiple levels, with studio work described as Introduction, then progressing through 2D & 3D Studio i, ii, and iii: Creative Project. It also includes Research Project components, a Thesis Seminar, a Final Dissertation, and Gallery Studies. Students complete elective modules at Level Two and Level Three, and write, research, and study across Levels One through Four.
