Bachelor in Life Sciences Umweltwissenschaften Und Technologie

The Bachelor in Life Sciences - Environmental Sciences and Technology (Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, study direction Environmental Sciences and Technology) prepares students to analyze environmental problems and develop practical solutions for people, nature, and society. The course combines natural science, technology, and society perspectives, supported by project teaching and case studies, with a focus on ecotoxicology, circular economy, and resource protection.

Teaching is offered in-person (Präsenz). Students work on real environmental issues in environmental laboratories starting from the first semester, using modern measurement systems and digital tools. The degree awards 180 ECTS points and can be studied full-time or part-time/while working, with practical work in projects, laboratory work, and field work.

After the degree, graduates can move into research, industry, administration, or start-ups. The program is built around collaboration with partners from industry, authorities, and research, and it connects to later work in environmental laboratories, engineering, environmental, and planning offices, research and development departments, environmental departments in large companies or public administration, and start-ups in environmental technology.
