Master in Life Sciences Pharmatechnology

The Master in Life Sciences – Pharmatechnology at the University of Applied Sciences Aargau (FHNW School of Life Sciences) is a Master of Science in Life Sciences. It focuses on formulation and administration of medicines, formulation of biologics, continuous pharmaceutical production, and pharmaceutical production facilities. Students also complete elective modules from related fields such as Analytical Chemistry, Applied Cell Biology, Biotechnology and Bioanalytics.

The programme combines full-time or part-time/work-study study plans, with onsite and online learning modes. Students complete a master’s thesis with an eight-month duration in industry or research. The structure includes module groups for Pharmatechnology, plus thesis and core skills, with a total of 50 ECTS credits required for the specialisation. International options include completing the thesis abroad or earning a double degree at partner universities.
