Bachelor of Statistics and Planning

The Bachelor of Statistics and Planning at Ndejje University is a three-year degree that builds skills in statistical theory and data analysis, forecasting, econometrics, and planning principles. Students study core topics such as probability, inference, regression, and time series, along with planning theory, project planning, and policy analysis.

The course combines quantitative tools for development, economics, and resource allocation with technical skills in statistical software, modeling, and data visualization. It includes hands-on learning through industrial training and applied research, supported by a final research project and a dissertation with data collection, analysis, and report writing.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with 1 principal pass in a relevant subject.

Diploma Entry

• Relevant diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computing or related field (Upper Second or Credit), recognized by NCHE

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
