Graduate Certificate in Education

London School of Jewish Studies offers a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for current and aspiring education professionals. Students study Lifelong Learning and build their understanding of evidence-informed practice through modules covering Reflective Practice, Critical Writing Skills, Ethical Classroom/Teacher Professionalism, and theories such as Theories of Learning, Theories of Motivation, and Behaviour and Relationships.

The programme is online and delivered alongside the teacher training programme. LSJS describes the course structure as including interactive live taught sessions and independent study, using learning technologies such as podcasts, webinars, and discussion groups. Students complete self-directed study through online resources and submit a final portfolio for assessment with multi-modal evidence.

Applicants must be on the London School of Jewish Studies teacher training programmes. The course is open to anyone who has been accepted to School Direct Primary, School Direct Secondary and the Apprenticeship routes.

Once LSJS receives an application, if eligible, the applicant will be invited to interview, either on campus or online.
