The Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Marketing covers core courses in financial accounting, business law, business administration, quantitative analysis for business, business communication, company law, marketing principles, and economics, alongside computer science and a foreign language option (French or Chinese). Students also study management, consumer and buyer behavior, marketing research, research methods, public relations, international marketing, entrepreneurship, marketing communication, sales management, retail management, financial aspects of marketing, marketing information systems, and additional marketing topics in Part IV.
Teaching is assessed through coursework assessment and a formal written examination. For each course, the coursework and examination carry weightings of 30% and 70% of the final assessment, respectively. Courses include written examinations of two or three hours at the end of the appropriate semester. Industrial Attachment is assessed using supervisor reports, supervisor assessment visits, and student industrial training reports; the Project Course includes a dissertation and may include a seminar or an oral examination.
