Master of Science Education Msced Curriculum Studies Block Release

The Master of Science Education (MScED) in Curriculum Studies (Block Release) at Bindura University of Science Education is designed for advanced study of curriculum work in education. Students study Curriculum Planning, Design and Development, Psychological and Sociological Foundations of the Curriculum, Advanced Research Methods and Statistics, Historical and Philosophical Foundations of the Curriculum, and Curriculum Change and Innovation. The programme also includes Educational Technology.

Teaching is organised by semesters across two parts, with curriculum-focused courses and research. Semester studies include Curriculum Analysis, Curriculum Evaluation, Current Themes and Discourses in Education and the Curriculum, Educational Management and Leadership, Comparative Education, and Entrepreneurship and Financial Management, followed by a Dissertation. The programme includes Faculty of Science Education and programme research studies through the listed postgraduate studies by research.

To be eligible for admission, a candidate must:

• ‘O’ level Mathematics with a Grade C or better and a Science Subject.
• A BScEd degree with a good Grade or its equivalent (e.g. BSc General or BSc Honours) plus a C.E,/D.E or Grad.CE, PGDE or BEd (Sciences).”
