Master's Programs
Introduction
Master's Programs is a Masters program taught at Kanazawa College of Art, Japan. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1–2 years) options.
Kanazawa College of Art offers a Master’s Program at its graduate level, positioned as a pre-doctoral program. Students take advanced study focused on creative work, expression, research ability, and advanced capabilities needed for art-related professional work. Training is built on research and production at the undergraduate level, and then continues as advanced research and production based on a student’s own research theme.
The program includes attention to language and thesis-writing skills within its curriculum. Each department and course emphasizes both practice and theory: for example, Painting includes practical exercises such as Japanese painting, oil painting, and video production, plus theoretical subjects such as art history lectures (Japanese, Eastern, Western) and aesthetics/art theory. Design includes practical exercises across visual, product, and environmental design, with theory subjects to deepen research.
