Doctoral Programs
Introduction
Doctoral Programs is a PhD program taught at Kanazawa College of Art, Japan. Intake: Fall. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4–6 years) options.
The Doctoral Programs at Kanazawa College of Art focus on integrated research and guidance that combines practical work and theory. Students research advanced creative and expressive techniques and theories related to art, develop the depth of regional art and crafts, and prepare to work independently in creative and research activities through research production instruction and doctoral thesis supervision.
Doctoral students have research presentations twice per year that are open to the public. The program also includes interdisciplinary subjects that combine practice and theory, such as “regional art seminars” and “integrated studies of form and design,” within a relatively flexible curriculum where research is supported through internal and external research settings.
