Introduction

Drama is a Bachelor program taught at Bennington College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Drama Major at Bennington College trains students as creative and versatile theater artists through course work closely integrated with production opportunities. Students develop work in acting, directing, playwriting, devising, theatre history, dramatic literature, dramaturgy, stage management, and design, including set, costume, lights, projection, and sound.

Drama uses small-group courses, tutorials, and project-based learning, with students working closely with faculty to design the content, structure, and sequence of their study and practice through their Plan. For each term with drama classes, students also complete a technical lab in the scene shop, costume shop, or the technical crew in VAPA. Students participate through Drama Forum, classes, and collaboration on productions, and may choose internships or professional theater settings during Field Work Term.
