Business and Technology is a Master of Science (Technology) programme focused on business development in international sales and sourcing networks. It develops understanding of business processes in global business-to-business markets and the use of business development practices in international networks. The programme places special focus on technology-intensive products and services for students with an engineering background.
Studies are organised into a three-semester package. The programme starts with an introductory course to management studies and ends with advanced courses that simulate decision-making in real business situations. Students who hold a BSc in Business and Technology study a technologically oriented minor. The master’s thesis follows the three semesters and is written in close collaboration with a company, mostly in a paid position. Tampere University says the teaching uses lectures, class discussions, case studies, written assignments and problem-based learning with companies.
