Doctoral programme on Inequalities, Interventions and New Welfare State (DPInvest) is part of the University of Turku Graduate School. It is a cross-disciplinary, international PhD programme in social and behavioural sciences. The programme includes sociology and psychology for the Faculty of Social Sciences and child psychiatry for the Faculty of Medicine.
DPInvest is part of the INVEST Research Flagship Center. The center focuses on a more equitable, better targeted, proactive and economically and socially sustainable welfare model. It addresses barriers to well-being among children and young people through evidence-based interventions. It also studies ways to help families facing accumulated deprivation and to use society's resources more efficiently.
