About this program

The Master’s Degree Programme in Language, Globalization and Intercultural Communication (LAGIC) examines how globalization affects language and communication. It covers the roles of language and culture in society, the connections between social media, discourse and power, and questions of language use and identity.

The programme is 120 ECTS credits and planned as a 2-year degree with contact teaching. Students also study independently for essays, exams and assignments and take part in group or pair work. The Master’s Thesis is 30 ECTS credits and is supported by a thesis seminar.

The degree qualifies graduates to apply for a doctoral programme.
