Laurea separate application, Master of Beauty and Cosmetics (UAS)

Laurea University of Applied Sciences describes this degree as designed for students who want to become forward-thinking innovators in the cosmetics and beauty care industry, with an interest in sustainable development and its role in cosmetics manufacturing and marketing.

The degree programme is delivered online. It includes self-paced study and two to three contact days held synchronously online, with one exception: the Cosmetic Product Project course takes place at Tikkurila Campus in Vantaa. Each study unit includes teaching days, independent study, virtual study, and applied development tasks completed in small groups. Laurea says it is possible to study while working.

The separate application is for applicants who have interrupted earlier master’s studies with at least 55 credits completed in a Finnish higher education institution, or for Laurea pathway students who have completed at least 30 credits of master’s level studies at Laurea’s Open University of Applied Sciences.

• Applicants must meet one of two separate-application routes: at least 55 credits completed in a Finnish higher education institution towards a specific education or degree programme leading to a Master’s degree, with studies interrupted; or
• Pathway students at Laurea University of Applied Sciences who have completed at least 30 credits of Master’s level studies at Laurea’s Open University of Applied Sciences, with the studies registered in the study register before applying.
• If the interrupted studies were completed at Laurea, at least one semester must have passed since the interruption.
• Selection criteria include academic performance, suitability for the field, language skills, attitude towards studies, and study skills.
