The Degree Programme in Tourism and Hospitality Business is planned especially for experts in tourism and travel organisations and for experts working in the hospitality industry. Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences says the aim is to raise an expert’s know-how to developer level. The programme is based on the future needs of the tourism and hospitality industries, and students can focus on areas important for their own professional development.
The degree is 90 ECTS credits. It includes Common studies, Specialisation studies, Free-choice studies and a Thesis. The thesis is a 30 ECTS research and development task based on an authentic, work-related challenge. The studies and learning assignments mirror everyday business in tourism and hospitality, with guest lectures, real-life cases and a development project in an organisational context.
