PhD in Transportation

The PhD in Transportation and Vehicle Engineering prepares students for scientific research in areas such as transportation systems, vehicle industry, and logistics. It covers intelligent transportation systems, sustainable transport, autonomous vehicle systems, emerging mobility solutions, logistics processes, modelling and optimization, and vehicle design. Students take basic subjects and professional courses alongside individual scientific research tasks.

The program is structured around independent research under supervision. PhD students complete advanced courses and guided teaching, and they develop presentation skills through teaching under guidance and participation in international conferences. Research results are shared through peer reviewed international journal publications and later through a public thesis defence, supported by a supervisor.

For our PhD program the general minimum requirements are an eligible MSc degree, a document of English language proficiency, and successful admission tests.
