Bachelor of Theology

The Bachelor of Theology is a Daystar University undergraduate program focused on preparing pastors to minister in a contemporary African context. It addresses changes such as the influence of urbanization, the more educated and modernized church member, false teaching and doctrinal heresies propagated in some churches, the needs of mega churches, and social, political, and social-economic challenges that face Christians.

Applicants study through the requirements and preparation described for the program, including meeting Daystar’s undergraduate entry requirements. Admission also depends on additional subject performance in History or Christian Religious Education (CRE), as part of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its Equivalent Examination Certificate.

Applicants to the Bachelor of Theology must fulfil entry requirements that apply to all Daystar undergraduate students, i.e. An overall minimum grade of C+ in KCSE or at least 4 credits in IGCSE with at least 2 credit passes at 'A' level/GCE .

In addition, a prospective Applicant must have obtained at least a B-(minus) in either History or Christian Religious Education (CRE) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its Equivalent Examination Certificate.
