Bachelor of Business Administration Hons

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT), awarded by Liverpool John Moores University (UK), builds a foundation in business principles. Students study management, marketing, finance, organizational behavior, economics, accounting, HR, entrepreneurship, and operations, alongside areas such as business information systems, statistics, and business communication.

Learning combines theory with practice through case studies, group projects, internships, and opportunities for practical business work. An active blended learning approach provides a combination of face-to-face and online learning. Teaching is scheduled for weekdays/weekends, with study locations including Malabe Campus, Kandy Uni, and LJMU Colombo. The programme includes semester modules and business project work.

Local A/Ls: Minimum of 3 "S" passes in any stream & a “C” pass for O/L English.

Cambridge/Edexcel A/Ls: Minimum of 3 "D" passes in any stream & a “C” pass for O/L English.

Applicants should also pass the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT.

LJMU Entry Requirements:

• Completion of the SLIIT Higher Diploma, including the Bridging Module in Research Methodology
• A minimum of a "C" pass in GCE O/L English (or equivalent)

Applicants who have successfully completed the SLIIT Foundation Programme are eligible for enrolment into the programme. Applicants who have completed foundation programmes from other institutions may be considered subject to approval by the Institute Senate.
