Bachelor of Science Honours in Plantation Management and Technology

Students study the Bachelor of Science Honours in Plantation Management and Technology at Uva Wellassa University. The programme aligns with SLQF Level 06 and is organised across 8 academic semesters. It builds subject-specific knowledge for the plantation sector, including skills for plantation management, manufacturing, and operating enterprises related to tea, rubber, coconut, and other allied crops.

The curriculum starts with principle subject areas, plus Essential Skills Development and Broad General Education. In the later stage, students specialize in one of three areas: Plantation Crop Production (PCP), Manufacturing Technology (MFT), or Plantation Business Management (PBM). Practical exposure includes Field Training, Industrial Training, routine laboratory activities, and a final year research project that investigates sector problems and produces scientific solutions.
