BSc Hons Fashion Business Management

The BSc (Hons) Fashion Business & Management at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT), awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, prepares students for careers in the fashion industry. The curriculum covers fashion marketing, retail management, fashion merchandising, and brand strategy, with modules that also include business principles, microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial accounting, and business communication.

Learning runs on weekdays at the Malabe Campus over 3 Years, with an intake in February and September. Study is structured across three years: year 1 introduces Fashion Business Management with industry visits and guest lectures; year 2 adds Fashion Business Analytics, strategic projects, and software skills; year 3 focuses on leadership, entrepreneurship, sustainable strategy, and the Fashion Enterprise Project, integrating learning into a specialized industry project. The programme includes industry collaborations, projects, and internships.

• Local A/Ls: Minimum of 3 "S" passes in any stream & a “C” pass for O/L English.
• Cambridge/Edexcel A/Ls: Minimum of 3 "D" passes in any stream & a “C” pass for O/L English
• Applicants should also pass the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT.
• Applicants who have successfully completed the SLIIT Foundation Programme are eligible for enrolment into the programme.
• Applicants who have completed foundation programmes from other institutions may be considered subject to approval by the Institute Senate.
