The Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree - Chemistry (HBScEdCh) (In-service) Block Release is an honours-level education programme focused on Chemistry and education studies. Students take modules such as Physical Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Advanced Pedagogics in Chemistry, and Trends in Chemistry Education. Education and professional development topics include Educational Management, Curriculum Issues and comparative Education, Educational Management, and a Research Project.
The programme structure is organised into Part I Semester I, Part I Semester II, Part II Semester I, and Part II Semester II. It includes a Mathematics for Chemists module and an ICT Applications in Education module, alongside Chemistry and education modules in each semester. The programme is offered as a block release format for 2 years.
