Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree Geography Pre Service 4 Years

The Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree Geography (Pre-Service) prepares post Advanced Level students with skills and competencies in Geography education. Students build sustainable knowledge-based societies through Geography education that responds to evolving education systems.

The programme runs for Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV, with courses across semesters and a Teaching Practice component (TP301) in Part III Semesters I and II. It includes topics in education foundations, communication, ICT applications, research methods and statistics, Geography techniques, and Geography content such as physical geography, climatology, urban geography, and environmental management, plus a Research Project (PC370) and Remote Sensing and GIS (GGE319).

Normal Entry

• Have 5 passes at O-Level including English Language and Mathematics or their equivalents.
• A Pass in A- Level Geography and any other A’ Level subject or their equivalents.

Mature Entry

• Candidates older than 25 years can be admitted if they have 5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English and a Science subject and must satisfy a panel selected by faculty.
