Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree in Geography Hbscedgg Off Campus 2 Years

The Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree in Geography (HBScEdGg) is an off-campus program that combines geography study with education-focused modules. It includes History and Philosophy of Geography, Geography of Southern Africa, Culture and Heritage Studies, Environmental Geomorphology, Climatology, and Economic Geography, alongside core education topics such as Psychological Foundations of Education, Sociological Foundations of Education, Communication Skills, and Education Management.

The program runs for 2 years and follows a structured course plan across Part I and Part II semesters. Teaching and learning modules include Introduction to Computer Science, ICT Applications in Education, Remote Sensing and GIS, and Advanced Pedagogics in Geography. Students also complete a Research Project, with research and statistics support provided through Research Methods and Statistics.

To be eligible for admission, a candidate must:

• Have a Certificate in Education/Diploma in Education (Secondary Level) or other recognizable teaching qualification from an acceptable institution in which Geography was a major
• Have passed 5 ‘O’ Levels subjects including Science, English Language and Mathematics
