The Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree - Physics (HBScEdPh) focuses on Physics alongside education studies. Students take Physics modules including Mechanics and Oscillations, Thermal Physics and Wave motion, Electricity and Magnetism, Electronics I, Optics and Modern Physics, Quantum Physics I, Nuclear Physics, and Solid State Physics. Education-focused modules include Health Education, History and Philosophy of Physics, Advanced Pedagogics in Physics, Educational Management, and Curriculum Issues and comparative Education.
The programme uses a semester structure across Part I and Part II. Modules include study components such as ICT Applications in Education, Research Methods and Statistics, and a Research Project. Students also complete academic skills and support modules such as Introduction to Computer Science, Communication Skills, and Calculus 1 and Linear Mathematics. The programme is an in-service block release.
