Master of Science Degree in International Relations

The Master of Science Degree in International Relations at Bindura University of Science Education studies theories and concepts of international relations, the United Nations Organisation, globalisation and international development, and topics including Africa and the world, world issues of our time, politics in the third world, international law, strategic studies, and terrorism. Students also study French/Portuguese and research methods and statistics.

The programme consists of two academic years for full time study. It includes a dissertation as a core element, with an oral presentation required to the Department Board of Examiners. During the final six-month period, students work solely on the dissertation, supported by supervision and a minimum of 60 hours of contact time. Dissertation assessment uses two internal examiners and one external examiner.

All applicants have to meet the following minimum requirements for admission prescribed under the general regulations (i.e.):

• A good first Degree from a recognized University will be considered.
• Equivalent qualifications will be considered including Higher National Diploma in Journalism, Human Resources Management etc.
