Automation and Robotics is a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Jamk University of Applied Sciences. It gives students a foundation in automation, robotics, and electrical engineering. Students study electrical engineering, electronics, information technology, logic programming, measurement and control, programmable logic controllers, fieldbuses, factory networks, functional safety, PC-based systems, user interfaces, robotics, and machine vision.
The programme combines theoretical study with practical work and laboratory equipment. It is organised as 240 ECTS credits over four years of full-time contact teaching. The first year contains common engineering studies, after which students choose either Industrial Automation and Robotics or Biosystems Automation and Robotics. The degree includes internship and a bachelor’s thesis.
Jamk University of Applied Sciences says the degree is designed in cooperation with employers, industry experts, and students. Graduates are prepared for work in international engineering and technology environments, in industry, smart production, and the bioeconomy sector.
