Bachelor of Engineering, Purchasing and Logistics at Jamk University of Applied Sciences covers purchasing and logistics, technology, basic engineering mathematics and physics, applied mathematics and natural sciences in logistics, and languages and communication studies. The programme also includes business skills, leadership, circular economy, business management, student wellbeing in studies and at work, mathematics support, and Future Factory.
Teaching methods include interactive lectures, work-based assignments and projects, laboratory exercises, information system and software exercises, simulation games, company visits, internships, and theses. Students can complete part of their studies in international student exchange and can do the required practical training abroad.
Jamk says the programme prepares purchasing and logistics engineers for work with international value networks, business relationships, and the movement of goods, information, capital, and people. The final thesis addresses a practical challenge, often for companies, and carries 15 ECTS.
