Bachelor of Engineering, Robotics at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences SAMK is a 240 ECTS degree in Information and Communication Technologies. It teaches students to design, build and integrate fully automated robotic systems. The programme covers mathematics, science, language, project management, automation, programming, AI, mechanics, autonomous and agricultural systems, industrial robots and welding robotics.
Teaching is full-time and contact-based in Pori. The structure includes elective and common SAMK UAS studies, fundamentals of automation technology, fundamentals of mechanical engineering, Robotics, AI in robotics, work placement and a thesis. SAMK says the programme uses the RoboAI joint-use laboratory, with hands-on work on industrial robots, collaborative cobots, mobile automation and machine vision systems.
SAMK says students work with local companies through a project-based curriculum, and can include courses and studies from other universities in a personalised degree plan. The page also says graduates can apply for master's programmes in higher education institutions in the fields of technology.
