Bachelor of Engineering, Water Technology and Sustainability

Bachelor of Engineering, Water Technology and Sustainability combines water technology with sustainability. Students study environmental modelling, water and wastewater management and treatment, remote sensing, environmental sampling, laboratory analysis, sustainable resource management, circular economy solutions, and sustainability and scientific reporting.

The programme is a full-time degree with contact teaching on campus in Mikkeli and daytime studies. It is organised into four parts: Learn, Plan, Act, and Build. The course also includes practical training and a bachelor’s thesis, and the thesis and practical training components may be completed abroad or in the student’s home country.

Xamk describes the programme as having four main themes: BlueGreen studies, Sustainability studies, Natural science studies, and Applied environmental studies. Students also complete 60 ECTS credits of optional studies, including courses from Xamk, other universities, and international partner universities.
