The Master’s Programme in Sustainable Marketing at the University of Oulu leads to a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration. It focuses on marketing, sustainability and responsibility. Students study business relationships and networks, branding, digital marketing and technologies, service marketing, consumer behaviour, customer value, value creation, business ethics, and the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainable development.
The programme lasts two years and consists of four terms of 30 credits each. Teaching is in English. The first year includes courses with mandatory face-to-face teaching on campus in Oulu. The second year gives more flexibility through course choices and deeper specialisation. Teaching methods include contact teaching, independent learning, blended teaching and online teaching. The master’s thesis is worth 30 credits and includes seminar sessions.
The University of Oulu says the programme is designed to prepare graduates for specialist and management positions in marketing and related fields. It also provides a foundation for doctoral studies and research in marketing.
