Bachelor of Engineering, Information Technology, VAMK (B.Eng)

The curriculum in Information Technology aims to educate qualified ICT engineers with skills for international careers. Students study software engineering, programming, database planning and management, web and mobile technologies, embedded systems, cloud and system architectures, and user experience and user interfaces.

Studies are practical and use projects, practical assignments and laboratory work. Students also build team working skills and can deepen their skills during practical work placement. The degree structure includes basic and professional studies, advanced professional studies, optional studies, practical training and a thesis.

VAMK describes the programme as aiming to educate IT engineers for industry-related careers locally and internationally. Students can focus on areas such as software engineering, embedded systems, telecommunications, battery technology, business or technical mathematics.
