Bachelor of Hospitality Management at KAMK focuses on tourism, hospitality, events, food production, and hotel and restaurant management. Students study service business, customer experience, responsible and profitable operations, service process development, industry trends, workplace well-being, teamwork, communication, and digital skills.
The degree is 210 credits and takes 3.5 years. KAMK offers it in blended studies in Helsinki and in full-time contact teaching on campus in Kajaani. The studies combine on-campus teaching, online lectures, independent learning, group work, discussions, assignments, and practical training. The thesis is worth 15 credits and is written during the third study year. Foreign students study Finnish language as part of the degree.
The programme is designed for students who want to work in tourism and service businesses. KAMK says graduates work as experts, developers, supervisors, or entrepreneurs in Finland and abroad.
